Sunday Services

We welcome you to tune in to our Sunday morning services. We meet every Sunday at 10:30 am to pray, sing praises and preach the glorious gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Articles of Faith
1. We believe in one only true and living God; and that there are a trinity of persons in the God head - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, the same in essence, equal in power and glory.
2. We believe the scriptures of the Old and New testaments were given by inspiration of God, and are of Divine authority, and the only rule of faith and practice.
3. We believe in the fall of Adam; in the imputation of his sins to all his posterity; in the total depravity of human nature and in man's inability to restore himself to the favor of God.
4. We believe in the everlasting love of God to his people; in the eternal, unconditional election of a definite number of the human family to grace and glory.
5. We believe that sinners are only justified in the sight of God, by the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ, which is unto all and upon all them that believe.
6. We believe all those who were chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world are, in time, effectually called, regenerated, converted, and sanctified; and are kept by the power of God through faith, unto salvation.
7. We believe there is one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus, who by the satisfaction which he made to law and justice, "in becoming an offering for sin" hath, by his most precious blood, redeemed the elect from under the curse of the law, that they might be holy and without blame before him in love.
8. We believe good works are the fruits of faith, and follow after justification, are evidence of a gracious state, and that is the duty of all believers to perform them from a principle of love.
9. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, and a general judgment, and that the happiness of the righteous and the punishment of the wicked will be Eternal.

Who we are

People are sometimes confused (or put off by) the term "primitive" in our church name, due to the changes of language and its usage. Primitive Baptist refers to the same context used in the antique business....a "primitive" remains in the same state as when first made--unaltered, unchanged. Primitive Baptists remain in the same mode as when the church was first instituted among men--they meet on the first day of the week with preaching, praying, and the singing of spiritual songs. We do in our building essentially the same as the early church did in homes, hillsides, and riversides. Our building is merely an aid to worship, not an addition. Visitors will find our gathering simple and inclusive, with no division by age or any other category, and there are no additional programs. We seek, as did the early church, to serve God in the pattern He laid out so simply and live lives that reflect His influence in our lives and to light the ever darkening world around us. "Come and see."

Welcome to our website

The current congregation of Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist is evidence of two Bible truths... **Gen 30:27 for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake. AND ** Psalm 16:6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. The faithful lives of the many saints who have been members at Middleton Creek, many of whom rest in the church cemetery, being dead, yet speaketh, The blessing of their lives continues to influence and bless us and our community. The church was constituted in 1856--before the Civil War, during the very period of strife that brought the grievous war to pass. It has been preserved through all the wars that followed, including the spiritual warfare that each child of God faces in this world. It was constituted in a period of great strife and division, has survived in up times and down times, by God's grace, and will yet be preserved in the current modern world with all of its strife, division, and disdain for many things spiritual. Middleton Creek's members seek to serve God, in hope that their endeavors will live on after them in the lives of those to come.
